All the flaps used in Security Boss Pet Doors are heat treated prior to fabricating the flap itself. This process addresses contraction in the vinyl under extreme cold weather environments. The vinyl used is UV treated to maximize longevity as a guard against yellowing, cracking or becoming brittle. Nylon vertical threads are evenly spaced and embedded in the vinyl to for added strength. Our flaps will withstand repeated impact in temperatures of -40 degrees Fahrenheit.
